Hallowed Eve Dreams
A whimsical new halloween collection for sewers and quilters to play with!
I am trying something new this year, designing collections for holidays… or well, some. In fact, designing collections in general is new to me. But, you gotta keep pushing yourself or you get stale.
So, like almost all of my designs, I started with some hand dyed fabric designs. From there I added watercolor and even digital to the mix. I had plans for more designs, but alas, my nerve pain had other plans. But in the end, I got it done and I liked the diverse mix.
If you want an easy cheater quilt top, you can follow this link to the collection and where it says: Want to use this collection for a Fill-A-Yardâ„¢ project? You click Start Designing button and can design any fun cheater quilt top! See two of mine below.
I love a cheater quilt top these days. Not to get all medical, but I can’t cut fabric at the present, in fact it’s been over a year since I could. But having the ability to design a cheater quilt top gives some options for whole cloth quilts. And I know some of my friends only want to sew cheater quilts because they really aren’t big sewing fans but love a quilt. I love the intricate and annoying sewing and cutting process of a quilt, but those days are on hold. Now I am excited about whole cloth quilts with my hand dyed fabrics on the back… yep. Can’t stop, won’t stop, the dyeing obsession is real.
I have a weird obsession with tea towels. Okay, so I think a lot of women my age do. If you are like me, I think these designs as tea towels is the way to get that Halloween feel into your home without being super dramatic. As are throw pillows and placemats.
I hope you liked some of these designs. Maybe they aren’t your style, I don’t judge, they are not my typical design style either, but ‘tis the spooky season.
I have a Christmas collection coming out next week, so you’ll be getting to see that very soon!
