Happy Holidays friends!
I hope you are having a beautiful holiday season. Whether you just celebrated Christmas or are currently celebrating Hanukkah. I do both, so the magic is still going.
In these days between Christmas and New Years Eve- all I want to do is cuddle with Leo, read and set myself goals for the coming year. I also try and not get out of comfy pajamas. I have been pretty successful in this!

My quick recap on 2024
Even though this year was extremely trying for me, I want to give thanks to everyone who has hung in with me and my Dyes Happy business. I know things have changed a lot over the years. I have had to adjust to what I currently am physically able to still do verse what I used to be able to do. So, I am going to share the good things that I was able to accomplish even though most of it was from bed.
I crafted hundreds (600+) new designs, explored new color palettes and scales.
I expanded on my popular shibori and ice dye patterns, offering fresh variations.
I designed and launched gratitude and self care journals and wine tasting journals. These initially I designed for personal use and now have them available for sale on Amazon.
I designed and relaunched my website, which had been dormant for over a year. That was a nice way for me to close out this year in anticipation of next year.
If you are following me on Spoonflower, you will notice I have been updating my design names, tags, and so much more. I’ve also been trying to make collections based on colors and themes to help customers shop. The creative process this year brought joy and growth. It made for a fulfilling year of artistic exploration and improvement.
And totally unrelated, I have surpassed my goal of reading 300 books in 2024. If anyone ever wants book recommendations, just ask. Fair warning, I stay far away from bestseller lists and Oprah recommendations, so if that is your thing, you probably won’t be interested in what I read.
This year, one of my favorite paranormal mystery authors honored me by allowing me to be a beta reader. This has been such a fun thing to do, and I can’t wait to keep it going next year.
I have a lot of fun things planned for 2025 for Dyes Happy and just hope that I am able to do them all! If you are here for the dye side of my business, there are some exciting things coming in that front. So make sure you stay in touch.
Artists I think you should check out
Autumn Rain Gallery - Debbie is a Pulmonary Rehab family member (yes we have become family) she is also an amazing bag maker. We have even collaborated with my hand dyed fabrics in the past. If you follow me on Instagram you have seen at least one.
K. Hackl - Kris is such a wonderful human. But aside from being just so kind and caring she makes such lovely hand blocked goods that have a clean and modern feel to them.
Lola Florence - One of my favorite jewelry designers. She designs stunning helix necklaces using pearls, lapis, turquoise, you name it.
Samantha Boot - One of my favorite textile artists. Beautiful hand stitched textiles, filled with intrigue and love.
